To keep
your plants from getting stale in summer, they need a lot of water. But how
much or how often to water? Is it better to pour the water above the plant or
directly on the ground ?, we hope you get these tips from Gardena.
Maintain
uniform soil moisture: Most plants depend on uniform humidity. However, letting
the soil dry before re-watering promotes the growth of plant roots with garden
hose reel.
It is
better to water infrequently but with enough water: In the garden, and
especially when it comes to adult plants, it is best to do one or two
irrigation sessions per week but with enough water, rather than watering more
frequently, but with Little amount of water. On the other hand, if we talk
about plants in pots the opposite is best, water several times a week and with
little water.
Water from
porous
soaker hose at dusk or early in the morning: When we water in the
afternoon or at night, less water evaporates than when we water in full day
because the earth is warmer and there is more solar radiation. During the
late-night the plants can be supplied with water with more time and tranquility
before the heat of the next day arrives again.
Keep the
leaves dry: Wet leaves become diseased leaves. If they stay moist at night, it
can lead to the appearance of fungi on the leaf. And leaves that are left moist
in the sun can develop mild burn marks. That is why in most cases it is always
preferable to directly water the soil rather than above the plant.
