Part 2- How to Choose a Soundbar?

Power
The power of a soundbar varies between 90 and 375 W.
To determine the model you need, base yourself on the dimensions of your room. A sound bar delivering 90W to 120W is generally suitable for a bedroom or office. For a living room between 25 and 40 m2, prefer a power of 120 to 320 W like the 300W models of Samsung.
When choosing, keep in mind your neighborhood relationships. Because the sudden bursts of bass can be felt over a long distance when you push the volume to the bottom!

With or without a subwoofer
Often sound bars struggle to produce enough power at low frequencies. To remedy this, some models are sold with a subwoofer - external or integrated. A good solution for restoring a quality sound.
The external models are easily connected via a wired or Bluetooth connection. But you will have to provide extra space in your living room.
Conversely, to save space, opt for a bar with integrated box.

Number of inputs/outputs
Check the type and number of inputs/outputs of your wireless soundbar (Bluetooth, USB, Jack, Ethernet port, Optical, HDMI). This is important especially if you want to connect multiple devices. More and more, the soundbars have an HDMI ARC jack that connects to the TV to enjoy a sound of much better quality. If your TV does not have an HDMI ARC jack, you will need to connect your monitor and soundbar with an optical or coaxial audio cable.

Wireless connection / Bluetooth
Most sound bars have a Bluetooth- enabled a wireless connection to play music directly from your phone, tablet or laptop.
Before choosing, be clear with the number and type of devices you want to connect (TV, console, DVD / Blue-ray player, computer, multimedia hard drive).

Configuration
Depending on your needs, some bars offer advanced configuration options to adjust the sound and fine-tune your listening.
If you're more likely to prefer an intuitive product, be aware that other models offer an automatic calibration system. With this intelligent system, you can enter the position of the bar in the room to adjust the sound directly to the configuration of your living room.

Design
Design side, as your sound bar will occupy a central place in your living room, it is better to choose an aesthetic model that blends into the decor. For example, opt for a model of the same length as your TV.
Another important point: make sure that the height of the bar does not interfere with the infrared receiver of the TV. Otherwise, you will need to point the remote control above the bar to change the program.

In summary, if you want a quality sound, but do not have room for a home theater installation, the wireless soundbar is the solution for you. With or without a subwoofer, wireless connection, number of inputs and outputs, advanced configuration, built-in features and stylish design. Take into account all these criteria before making your choice.
