Using a Silicone Mold for a Cake

With regard to the preparation of cakes, the type of item you use baking can make a difference in the final result. The silicone molds are an increasingly popular option for non-stick baking by the nature of this material. Since last long, you can get many uses of your silicone mold, like the baby cake mold. 1. Wash the horse cake molds and let it dry. If you are using the mold for the first time, be sure to wash thoroughly to remove any residue that may have been in the manufacturing process.

2. Place protection on the bottom of your oven. Due to the flexibility of plastic cake molds, your cake dough may overflow enter while in the oven. 3. Preheat the oven to the temperature required to bake a cake. Prepare your cake dough according to recipe instructions you're using.

4. Dumps cake dough carefully into the silicone mold. It can be difficult to do this because of the flexibility of this type of mold. Use one hand to hold the mold while you dump the dough with the other hand, or you can ask someone to help hold the mold while your capsize the dough.


5. Bring the pan with the dough in the oven and bake the cake for a period of time necessary. Even if the cake can be cooked evenly, you may not have the toasted tone it would take using a metal mold. Remove the cake from the oven using gloves. Let cool for a few minutes and then gently pull the edges of the mold out. Turn the silicone mold down on a tray or cake plate to unmold the cake.
