Is the Humidifier Good for Sleeping?

Depending on the place where we live and the time of year, the air we breathe is more or less humid. In inner cities and in seasons such as summer or winter, there is a sudden decrease in humidity in the air. People who are most sensitive to these changes often experience breathing difficulties or allergies, which get worse especially at night and try to combat them in several ways, one of them being the use of a humidifier connected with smart sockets to be able to breathe better when they enter your room.  But, is it worth doing?

The humidifier is composed of a water tank that evaporates at a certain temperature and this water vapor passes into the environment. It has been shown that the use of a humidifier, awake or asleep, benefits us by allowing us to breathe the air more easily. Next, we expose the cases in which its use is more convenient:

- Snoring: The humid air that comes off prevents our throat and nose from drying out, and clears nostrils, relieving snoring and its intensity.         

- Respiratory difficulties: people who suffer from them often suffer from excessive nasal dryness. The humidification of the air helps to prevent this inconvenience.

Moreover, some humidifiers, in addition, to moisten, clean the air we breathe, helping us to deal with the discomfort caused by the allergy. In the case of children, there are controversies among pediatricians, some of whom are in favor of using these devices during certain night strips to facilitate the breathing of children.         

- Body hydration: if we use a humidifier with the remote control sockets on all night , we will notice in the morning our skin (especially that of our face, lips and hands) much more hydrated and smooth.         

- Reduction of the risk of infections and infection in the case of viruses: bacteria and viruses do not travel so easily with moist air.         

- Voice: it seems incredible but many people admit to waking up with a softer voice, less contained in the morning thanks to the use of the humidifier since this prevents the passage of dry air through our vocal cords.         

Precautions:
Keep in mind that the humidifier needs constant maintenance although you are using the Xiaomi Essential Oil Diffuser that is considered as a high-quality one, otherwise it can become a source of bacteria and be the main cause of the appearance of mold in the room where we are using it.
Some considerations to avoid these disadvantages would be to make a regular cleaning of the same (it is recommended that it is once a week), to use distilled water, as well as, to change the used filter with a certain frequency.
