Do you like to put nail polish? Do you do your manicure anywhere in the house? If so, your nail polish has already turned upside down and it is likely that you have already touched a piece of furniture when your nail polish was not dry. Varnish is one of the most difficult liquids to clean, but it's not impossible. Today we explain how to remove nail polish from furniture. Follow these tips and your furniture will be saved from nail polish stains.
Steps to follow:
1.If stained home furniture gadgets are glass, spray the surface with alcohol spray. You can also use a mixture of alcohol, water, and ammonia to soften the stain. Do not use a sponge as you may scratch the glass. Wipe the glass with a dry cloth and get rid of nail polish stains.
2.If the stained surface is marble, we recommend using acetone. Soak a cotton pad with this liquid and wipe off the stained surface. We recommend buying a non-oily acetone solution. Then, with a cloth soaked in turpentine finish the cleaning of the marble. If you wish, you can add a few drops of liquid soap to the cloth. If acetone is oily, remove stains with ether.
3.For wooden surfaces stained with cheap nail polish sets. First, mark the stain with tape or masking tape. Then remove the varnish with acetone. For this, soak in acetone a piece of cotton or a cotton swab. We recommend that you dip the cotton lightly and pass it several times. Indeed, if there is an excess of acetone, you risk to leave the varnish of the furniture and to spoil it by bleaching it. Proceed gently. If you notice that after removing the stain, the wood has lost its shine, you will have to polish it and varnish it again.
4.For sandstone surfaces. To clean nail polish stains that your cheap nail polish sets left on sandstone, we recommend using turpentine. Spray the stain with turpentine so it softens. After a few minutes, rub the stain with a brush. If you want the sandstone to return to its original state, clean it with soap and water. Perfect!
5.If the problem is that the nail polish has leaked between two tile tiles, follow this advice. Use a toothbrush and immerse it in acetone. Then, rub on the joints to remove the stain. You can also use a sponge. Once you have removed the stain, clean the surface with soap and water.
