We present you today a connected switch from the Aqara range: the Xiaomi Aqara Smart Switch. This is the single-push wireless version. We will explain how to configure it in the Mi Home application and show you how it can be integrated into Jeedom.
Characteristics
The switch is powered by a CR2032 coin cell battery and must be paired with the Xiaomi smart home Gateway. It is thanks to this that we will then be able to manage scenarios to interact with our different connected equipment.
Here is a summary of the features.
Protocol: ZigBee
Dimensions: 8.70 x 8.70 x 1.50 cm
Power supply: CR2032 battery
Gateway Xiaomi required
Unpacking
Being a simple accessory of the Aqara range, the packaging remains fairly basic.
The protection of the switch in the box is a bit fair, but it is obviously enough for the product arrives in good condition up to us.
The content is complete: inside, you will find enough to fix the switch (wireless) with a large double-sided sticker thick enough, or with two screws provided.
If you choose the screw-fastening option, you will need to drill the base in the intended locations. The spacing of the holes corresponds to the spacing of those of the flush-mounted boxes that are commercially available.

Configuration
In the Mi Home app on your smartphone, click on the Gateway and then on the Device tab at the top right.
Then, you find the modules already configured and at the bottom of the button to add a new device Add sub-device.
Choose the Wireless Remote Switch model (Single Rocker) and wait for the Gateway to ask you to begin embedding. From this point on, press and hold the switch for about 5 seconds.
If the operation worked, the application will ask you to give a name to the switch and assign it to a room
When the installation is complete, the switch appears in the equipment list.
Creating a scene
Now that the equipment is set up, we will be able to have it interact with the Xiaomi ecosystem.
I propose a very simple little scenario to illustrate the stage principle. As a push-type switch, we can imagine using it to turn on / off a connected bulb, or to make a bell to replace its chime. It is the latter that I will present to you.
From the Mi Home application home:
1. Click on the Switch object, then in the " Auto " tab on " Add Automation " to add a scene.
2. In the " Add a new Scene " window, the trigger is already set, so just choose an action in the " Then " section by clicking on " Add ".
3. Then choose the equipment you want to control in " Smart Devices ", in our case it will be the Gateway.
