 4. The gateway has several types of actions that we can choose, and here we want to play a sound when the button is activated, choose: "  Play designated ringtone ".

5. Choose among the proposed sounds, the ringtone "  Doorbell tone  " is made for our use. You can also choose the volume of the ringtone, then confirm by clicking Confirm and  OK on the scene page.

6. The scene now appears in the " Automation " tab, you can activate or deactivate it here.

Jeedom

This paragraph will address the compatibility with the Jeedom home automation solution and requires to have previously installed the plugin Xiaomi Home.

Assuming you already have a gateway declared in Jeedom, your new equipment will be automatically reassembled in the list of objects when you have included it in Mi Home in the previous step.

Bonus: Recently, the plugin Xiaomi Home includes an inclusion feature, to add modules to a gateway without the Mi Home application as we have described in the previous paragraph.

Edit the equipment, you will only have to rename it, choose a part and a category

It is a switch, so the controls are few. The state of the switch will be raised by an event to Jeedom in the " Status  " command when it is activated. Battery status information is also available.

The switch handles only one type of support, the simple click, no double or long click as it is possible on other models. This does not offer a lot of opportunities.

Scenario example

Here is an example of a basic scenario to illustrate its use in Jeedom of managing a Yeelight bulb.

For this, it will be necessary to create a scenario with as triggering event the switch:

One could imagine a more complex scenario using Jeedom's MODE plugin. This would change the mode, the house is based on the principle absent/ day/night and thus automate all actions of arrival or departure of the house with a single button to save time.

Conclusion

As always, the product offered is very good quality, well finished and at a great price. We regret only for this product that it is not proposed several events such as long click, or double click to increase its possibilities.

Compatibility with Jeedom through the Mi Home plugin will allow you to exploit it to its fullest and even beyond what it is designed for.
