Today, we bring you the review of the Xiaomi XiaoFang Wifi 1080P camera, with which we can wirelessly see everything that is happening in front of it since it has WIFI connectivity and night vision.
Content
Analyzing this Xiaomi Smart Camera externally, we see in its front the great objective it has, in addition to an LDR light sensor and the hole for the audio.
At the back, we have in the center a large speaker shaped like a house, and underneath it a USB connector and another micro-USB with a push button on its right.
At its base, we can see some features, such as the mac device or the voltage and intensity of work, in addition to having a magnet of great power, perfect to hold on metal surfaces and prevent us from falling.
If we move its base, we can access the port for the micro SD card and the Setup button, in addition to being able to orientate the camera in the best way wherever we want to place it.
Connectivity and Testing
Next, we are going to test the operation of the Xiaomi smart camera: connecting it to a mobile phone and using the Xiaomi app, we synchronize it with the smartphone.
Once downloaded the camera app, we will see that it appears in Chinese, so it will be a bit complicated to synchronize and adjust the parameters of it if we do not control the language.
To be able to synchronize it, it will be enough to follow the instructions that are indicated to us. For this we must activate the WIFI on the mobile and add the camera and, depend on the case, the App will detect it more easily or not; since according to the tests that we have done, in some occasion, it did not appear.
After synchronizing it, we just have to click on the icon and we can see what the camera is seeing.
From the app itself, we can take pictures, start videos (if we insert a micro SD card into the camera), as well as configure the quality of the recording itself.
As you can see, the recording quality is good considering that it records at 1080P. In addition, we can use it in environments without light thanks to the infrared LEDs that it incorporates.
Within the application menu we can adjust different parameters, such as the quality of the recording and schedule time lapse (for which we need to insert a microSD card in the camera), as well as see in a gallery those photos and videos that we have taken with she.
We miss a better translation of the application itself because although we select English, we will see how some messages or menus are still in Chinese, which makes it difficult to use.
On the other hand, the range of the wifi connection is quite good, being able to be up to 10 meters away from it and receive with good quality the images and videos that we are recording at every moment.
Conclusion
After analyzing and testing the Xiaofang Xiaomi Wifi 1080P camera, we can conclude that it is a good device and with a fairly acceptable image quality, in addition to allowing us to record in environments with little or no lighting since it has infrared LEDs so that Let's not waste any time.
As a negative point, we see that the application to control it from our mobile is not well translated, since some menus in Chinese even if we have chosen English as the main language. As a result, it is complicated to configure it completely well if you do not control that language.
Even so, we give you the prize for quality-price, because we believe that it is one of the best home security cameras we can choose. It is a device small in size, with good image quality and Wi-Fi connectivity at a very competent price.
